Come, See A Man

Service today was joyous as we celebrated our fathers and climaxed the biannual *National* Men's week celebration. We hosted Aps. James Tetteh (COP Chaplain, Ghana Prisons Service) and Aps. Francis Yaw Adu (Area Head, Walewale)

The theme throughout the week was "Come, see a man" taken from John 4:29. Building on the theme, Aps. James Tetteh spoke on the topic "Men, Possessing their families for Christ"

He began by emphasising strongly that God does exist despite the various philosophies of men; most especially because man was created in His image and likeness.

He charged all men to take control of their homes and tackle issues as they come up and not automatically assume that things will be fine. Men were to rule their homes with righteousness and justice, he added.

He mentioned "4 Ps" that the man was to demonstrate in his home. He firstly stated that a man must be a priest to his family; he was to lead them to Christ and keep them in him. A man must also provide for his family and make plans for the family. Finally, he stated that a man must do well to protect his family.

Concluding, he reminded the congregation that a man cannot take care of his family if he's not walking in the image of God. Aps. Francis Yaw Adu led the congregation in a time of prayer after the sermon.
