Being the first Sunday of the month, it was a communion service. Our speaker for the day was none other than Elder Joseph Siaw Agyepong. He spoke on the topic "generational blessings".
He started off from Matthew 16:16 where he reminded the congregation that being close to Jesus allows us to know our true identity just as Peter found out who he truly was by being close to Him.
He also used the Church of Pentecost as an example of the topic. He stated that God has been faithful in his covenant to the church so that the church has moved on without borrowing till this point. "The church can be found in 110 countries today", he added.
He then charged the church to always identify with Christ. Nobody else was to set a standard for us, not even the circumstances we found ourselves in. Quoting from Romans, he stated that God didn't withhold his own son from of us, how much more would not add all things.
He led the congregation through a short time of prayer after the sermon and then the communion was taken.
